<p><i><b>Downton Abbey</b></i> foi uma série de televisão <a href="/wiki/Reino_Unido" title="Reino Unido">britânica</a> produzida pela companhia Carnival Films para o canal <a href="/wiki/Independent_Television" class="mw-redirect" title="Independent Television">ITV</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span>[</span>1<span>]</span></a></sup> A série se passa em sua maior parte em uma propriedade fictícia, localizada em <a href="/wiki/Yorkshire_(Inglaterra)" class="mw-redirect" title="Yorkshire (Inglaterra)">Yorkshire</a>, chamada Downton Abbey e segue os Crawley, uma família aristocrática inglesa, e os seus criados, no início do <a href="/wiki/S%C3%A9culo_XX" title="Século XX">século XX</a>, a partir de <a href="/wiki/1912" title="1912">1912</a>. Ela foi criada por <a href="/wiki/Julian_Fellowes" title="Julian Fellowes">Julian Fellowes</a>, também seu principal roteirista, e estreou em 26 de setembro de 2010. Atualmente é exibida pela TV Cultura, além de estar disponível para assinantes do serviço de streaming Netflix.</p>

<p>A recepção ao programa tem sido predominantemente positiva; a audiência é considerada alta para uma série de época e recebeu diversos prêmios e indicações desde a sua primeira temporada.
